Amsterdam- Paris - Brussels - Rome - City of Pisa- Tuscany
First time in a Hostel & was it awesome! Greeted with friendly conversation from the hosts. Including their two cats Tarzan & Jane.
MUSSELS IN BRUSSELS
Chocolate, beer, & mussels! What more could you want?!
From the food to the beer, Brussels is a fun place to be. Whether or not you want to just people watch or stuff your face with authentic dark chocolate coffee truffles, this place has it all! So cute and quaint, this little town is full of lively, friendly people willing to show you a good time!
PARIS
The Eiffel Tower in Paris France is stunning! But be prepared for the vendors! It's a bit ridiculous how many there are!
My favorite places in Paris were the bridges, gardens, and Notre Dame Cathedral. How lucky we were to see it before the tragic fire in Apr 15, 2019 – Apr 16, 2019. Roof and spire destroyed; windows and vaulted ceilings damaged. These things can never be rebuilt in the same manner.
THE LOUVRE
We found ourselves standing next to this strange glass diamond that everyone seemed to be intrigued by, but what was this place? It was the Louvre! We even debated on going down into this thing not having any wild expectations of a museum. We figured it would be like any other- a place with pictures on the walls lol But we had to see the Mona Lisa to see what all the hype was about!
The Louvre is stunning! Absolutely breathtaking from the architecture to the marble floors! Tall ceilings covered from floor to ceiling with the most magnificent pieces you will ever see! We were in awe! This gem we had found! We were floored with every turn we took. This place made the Mona Lisa look like a bowl of porridge. There's no way to walk the entire length of the Louvre in a single day. Id say two- three days minimum.
ROMA
Running through the streets of Roma, we made our way through the Colosseum. What a site! So many tourists yet when you walk around, the crowds & noise don't take from the history that surrounds you.
PISA
We visit the leaning Tower of Pisa - What a weird little village! Quiet & vacant except for the few older generations wondering about... where? Who knows!
We laughed while walking to the Tower! It was hilarious!! We were dying from laughter & I almost fell on my face multiple times! lol
Comparable to the animated movie Happy Feet. In the zoo exhibit where you can hear "Try the water Dave, it's really real" -
An awkward place, leading you to a tower that simply, well doesn't stand up quite straight.
Having high hopes of how cool this thing may be- it's tiny, and tilted. lol You can pay a ton to go up inside of it-why? Possibly for the slight thrill that it may
just fall over with you in it! Looking at the brochures & signs and realizing from the gentleman next to you, who asks "Does anyone know how many stairs it
has?" A hilarious question- yet no one seems to have the answer..
TUSCANY
Waking up to fog & dew surrounded by fields of vineyards in the Chianti Region. Walking out of our Villa to a little table set with champagne and a variety of
meats & cheeses set out by Pedro our humble and sweet host. Farm animals and the domesticated pets running amok. Watching these cute hunched over
little women we call mamasuns wave their arms up and down bickering with each other over something in Italian.
